Hockey hosted Legacy Night at Codey Arena, welcoming back alumni of our storied program for last night's regular season finale against Morristown Beard. 

Basketball defeated St. Benedict's Prep 70-66 in the ECT Semifinals at West Orange HS on Saturday, moving on to next week's finals against Payne Tech (Saturday, Essex County College). 

Gnecco ‘26, Maiella ‘27, and Reynolds ‘28 lead the way as Bowling sweeps Irvington 2-0 in the second round of the NJSIAA North 2 Group 4 Bracket.

Basketball picked up a 55-48 win at East Orange, improving to 15-4 on the season. 

Seniors Malcolm McCloud and Alex Pilipski both jumped 6’2; Seniors Nehemiah Tynes(41ft 1.25in) and Marcellus McCloud(43ft 3.25in) combined for 84 feet 4.5 inches in the Shot Put to win county relays.

Seton Hall Prep had seven student athletes participate in the February signing day, in addition to the 18 who had already signed during the November and December window.

Congratulations to Riley Gnecco ‘26, the 2025 Essex County Individual Champion!  Joey Maiella ‘27 also took home the 5th spot. 

The Pirates were crowned Essex County Champions for the 11th time with 10 medalists and four first place finishes.

SHP Bowling won their sixth straight match, defeating Caldwell 7-0 on Thursday at Hanover Lanes. 

A 28-6 run in the third quarter helped The Pirates beat Payne Tech, improving to 8-1 on the season. 

Sean Torres ’26, Cadel Barilford-Stockling ’27,  Sebastian Studzinski ’26, and Linwood Nelson ’27 finished 2nd at the Millrose Trials with a season best time 3:28. 

SHP Indoor Track took first place at the Meril Invitational on Saturday!

Swimming improves to 4-0 on the season, beating Delbarton 86-84 to open the New Year at NJIT on Friday afternoon. 

The Pirates’ 2023-2024 State Championship team received their rings before this year’s team picked up a 7-0 win over West Caldwell Tech at Hanover Lanes.
