  • Football's Season Ends in NJSIAA Semifinals

    The Pirates lost to Don Bosco Prep on Friday night in the NJSIAA Semifinals, ending their season one game short of the finals at MetLife Stadium.

  • Football advances to NJSIAA Semifinals after Thrilling Comeback Win

    The Pirates scored 19 points in the fourth quarter en route to a 34-30 win at St. Joe's in the NJSIAA Quarterfinals!

    The Pirates defeat Bergen Catholic 5-3, securing the NJSIAA Non Public "A" North State Final!

    The NJSIAA is in charge of all ticketing for the match. They must be purchased ONLINE ONLY. There will be two gates at the KAC, and each individual (students included) must show their ticket via phone. No cash is accepted, and no entry without a ticket is permitted. You may purchase tickets by:

  • Cross Country Season Comes to Close

    The 2022 Cross Country season officially came to a close on Saturday with our varsity squad competing in the NJSIAA Non-Public A Group race at Holmdel Park.

    The Pirates defeat Don Bosco Prep 1-0 in Overtime behind Karan Chauhan's goal, advancing to the NJSIAA North A Semifinals to be played Saturday at home (9am)

    Pirates lose 16-24 @ St. Peter's Prep

    The Pirates' regular season ends with a 16-24 loss at St. Peter's Prep, as they now look forward to the NJSIAA Playoffs, set to start with a home game against Pope John this Saturday. 
  • Soccer wins 3rd Straight ECT Title

    Seton Hall Prep Soccer defeated East Side 2-1 on Saturday to secure their third straight Essex County Tournament championship!
  • Soccer Advances to ECT Finals

    Soccer defeated Livingston 3-0 last night in the ECT Semifinals, advancing to Saturday's championship game at 4pm (vs. East Side, at Caldwell High School)
  • Football loses 35-21 at Don Bosco

    The Pirates fall 21-35 at Don Bosco Prep on Friday night; they're back in action for their final home game of the season this Saturday against St. Joe's.

    The Pirates scored two goals in the final two minutes of regulation before defeating Columbia 3-2 in overtime on Thursday, Sept. 15, 2022!
  • Cross Country beats Caldwell, MKA

    The Cross Country team defeated both Caldwell and Montclair Kimberly Academy in the opening conference race of the season
  • Pirates Earn 3-0 Win Over West Essex in Opener

    Seton Hall Prep Soccer (1-0) defeated West Essex (0-1) 3-0 in the 2022 season opener on Brendan P. Tevlin Field at the Kelly Athletic Complex. The Pirates were lead by Luca Chirichiello who tallied a goal and an assist, Eddie Krupski with the opening and eventual game winning goal, and Lucas Mendes who also scored in the shutout win.

    Congratulations to SHP Track’s 4x400 team, who recorded the second fastest time in the nation this season with a 3:18.76 yesterday at the New Balance Nationals Championship meet. That’s also a school record and the 13th fastest time in NJ Indoor HISTORY.

    SHP Wrestling sends 8 wrestlers to regions, four whom placed 1st in their division on Saturday, Feb. 19th, at Morristown High School.
  • KC Campbell places 3rd out of 100

    Sophomore KC Campbell placed third out of 100 participants in the NJSIAA State Individuals, wrapping up a phenomenal season. 
  • Mourning the Passing of Coach John Warchol

    We are saddened to announce the passing of long-time hockey coach, John Warchol. John was named head coach in 1972 and before staying on as an assistant- spending 50 total years with the program. Throughout his  tenure on staff at The Prep, Coach Worchol won seven Gordon Cup titles, four Non-Public titles, and three Tournament of Champions titles.

    "I am proud to have brought John into the Seton Hall Prep community by hiring him to be our hockey coach 50 years ago," said President Msgr. Michael Kelly '57. "He was an inspirational and caring coach who valued teaching the boys to be fine young men over wins and losses."
    Headmaster, Michael Gallo '79 added, "I knew Coach Warchol during my high school days and everyone who played for him had great respect for the man he was and his high moral character. We will miss him dearly."

    Athletic Director, Larry Baggitt H'18 said, "John was the backbone of our program and had an unbelievable influence on New Jersey ice hockey. He was a tough and committed man who helped bring the best out of so many of our student-athletes. I am proud to have him as our coach, but equally for his friendship."

    Our thoughts and prayers are with Coach Warchol's family and loved ones.

  • Hockey beats Peter's on Senior Night

    The Pirates' Ice Hockey squad defeated St. Peter's 6-1 on SENIOR night on Wednesday, Jan. 19th. Thank you seniors!
  • Indoor Track completes Triple Crown

    The Pirates won the ECADA Indoor Track and Field Championship yesterday, completing the triple crown with prior wins at the SEC Championship and Essex Relays. 
  • Wrestling goes 3-1 over the weekend

    The Pirates dropped a match against Livingston, but defeated Freehold, Old Bridge and West Essex this past weekend to go 3-1 heading into this week
  • Basketball tops Columbia

    The Pirates defeated Columbia 65-53 following an explosive third quarter. Junior Jackson Bleecker led the way with a career-high 27 points (6 threes).
  • Bowling drops to Livingston; Still Lead Conference

    The Pirates fell short 2-5 to Livingston, but still hold a 1-point lead in the conference as we head down the final stretch of the regular season.
  • Track's 4x400 Sets State-best Time

    Congratulations to Indoor Track’s 4x400 team, who ran a 3:24.3 last night at The Armory, the fastest time in the state!
  • Indoor Track's SMR Team sets US-leading Time

    The Pirates Sprint Medley Relay team now leads the US with a time of 3.38.32 today at The Armory! 

  • Swimming improves to 5-0
