Seton Hall Prep alumnus, Tomas Hut '21, was drafted by the New York Red Bulls in the first round of the 2026 MLS SuperDraft with the 28th overall pick on December 18, 2025. The 2019 SHP state champion played two seasons at Army before transferring to Syracuse for the 2023 season.

Bowling improves to 5-0 with a win over West Caldwell Tech

Hockey wins their second straight, defeating Gloucester Catholic 8-2 at Codey Arena.

Due to ongoing renovations to our gym lobby, our Varsity and Junior Varsity basketball scrimmages on Tuesday, December 9, 2026, vs. GSB will be closed-door,  open only to coaches, players, and team personnel. We do anticipate being able to accommodate fans and spectators for our home opener on December 23rd for our “Silent Night” game when we host Paramus Catholic. 

SHP had six baseball players commit to playing in college during the NCAA December window.

The Pirates secure their first title in over 20 years, beating Don Bosco Prep 12-6 in the Non Public State Championship.

The Pirates defeated Augustine 13-8 to advance to their third straight NJSIAA Non Public State Final. 

Baseball earned a 6-0 win over Livingston in the Greater Newark Tournament Championship on Saturday, winning their second straight and 20th total county title. 

Baseball beat Millburn 10-0 to advance to Saturday's Greater Newark Tournament Championship game against Livingston. 

The Pirates defeated Caldwell 14-5 at West Essex High School, winning their 12th straight Essex County title. 

Outdoor Track won their 5th consecutive SEC American Division Conference Championship with a team score of 122.

Outdoor Track team captured its 5th consecutive Essex County Relay Championship Tuesday.

Basketball picked up a 55-48 win at East Orange, improving to 15-4 on the season. 

Seniors Malcolm McCloud and Alex Pilipski both jumped 6’2; Seniors Nehemiah Tynes(41ft 1.25in) and Marcellus McCloud(43ft 3.25in) combined for 84 feet 4.5 inches in the Shot Put to win county relays.

Seton Hall Prep had seven student athletes participate in the February signing day, in addition to the 18 who had already signed during the November and December window.

SHP Bowling won their sixth straight match, defeating Caldwell 7-0 on Thursday at Hanover Lanes. 

A 28-6 run in the third quarter helped The Pirates beat Payne Tech, improving to 8-1 on the season. 

Sean Torres ’26, Cadel Barilford-Stockling ’27,  Sebastian Studzinski ’26, and Linwood Nelson ’27 finished 2nd at the Millrose Trials with a season best time 3:28.
