Facilities Overview
Each of Seton Hall Prep’s athletic facilities has undergone large scale improvements over the past decade, fast becoming one of the premier high school athletic facilities state wide. Seton Hall Prep sets out to provide top notch facilities for athletes to train and compete in, since providing the means for developing Prep athletes both as students and as competitors is and has been a staple of the institution.
Starting in 2001 Seton Hall Prep began the development of the Kelly Athletic Complex, including two freshly sodded soccer fields, an Olympic-sized running track, and a state-of-the art training facility. The Kelly Athletic Complex is currently in the later stages of the newest phase of development- set to include two baseball fields, tennis courts, auxiliary practice field, upgraded stadium surface and spectator seating, parking, and facilities for team use and concessions.
The upgrade to the Northfield campus Verducci Field was completed alongside Seton Hall Prep’s John J. Murphy Science Center, and is now outfitted with FieldTurf, allowing for versatile practice and competition schedules by athletics programs, as well as serving as a multi-purpose area for physical education classes, charity events, and general recreation by students.
Tracey Gym received a facelift prior to the 2007 school year. The iconic gymnasium off of Northfield Avenue is now equipped with a state of the art sound system and enhanced retractable seating, making the gym a dynamic venue for all events.
The Wrestling Room located beneath Tracey Gym has long stood as a secluded chamber for wrestlers to perfect their craft. Prior to the 2015/16 season, the facility was renovated to include Seton Hall Prep branding, more versatile training equipment, and a modern lighting scheme. The continued effort to maintain and enhance our facilities reflects our dedication towards all of our students, athletes, coaches, faithful fans, and alumni.
