Seton Hall Prep Athletics welcomes media coverage that celebrates the achievements of our student-athletes and athletic programs. To maintain a safe, professional environment, all media personnel must comply with the following policies.
1. Media Applications & Credentials
All photographers, videographers, and other media personnel seeking event access must submit an online application in advance and receive approval from the Seton Hall Prep Athletic Department ahead of time. Credentials are valid solely for the approved event and do not grant unrestricted access to teams or facilities. Media personnel must follow all event-specific access instructions.
2. Content-Sharing Requirement
As a condition of receiving a media credential, photographers and videographers agree to share their event content with the Seton Hall Prep’s Director of Digital Media, Mr. PJ Candido, for potential use on school websites, social media, and other official communications. Content should be submitted to
pcandido@shp.org. Appropriate credit will be provided when possible. Failure to share content may affect approval for future events.
3. Student-Athlete Privacy & Interviews
Media personnel must respect student-athlete privacy and may not photograph or record individuals in locker rooms, bathrooms, changing areas, or other private spaces. Medical situations must be handled discreetly, and media must never interfere with medical personnel. Media personnel should identify themselves and respect all instructions from coaches and athletic department staff.
4. Broadcasting & Recording
Live streaming and broadcasting of Seton Hall Prep athletic events are prohibited unless specifically authorized by the school, consistent with applicable exclusive broadcasting agreements. Pre- and postgame shows require approval from the Seton Hall Prep media team.
5. Conduct & Compliance
All credentialed media must follow the directions of Seton Hall Prep Athletics and event personnel, remain within authorized areas (specific to each venue), and conduct themselves professionally. Credentials may be revoked for violations of this policy, and future applications may be denied.
6. Branding & Logo Usage
By applying for and accepting a media credential, individuals acknowledge and agree to these policies. For school branding requests and logo usage, contact
Matthew Berman at mberman1@shp.org.
