Lacrosse

When Seton Hall Prep started its lacrosse program in 1989, there were roughly 60 high schools with varsity lacrosse programs. Now, there are over 200 schools that carry lacrosse. It should be no surprise that Seton Hall Prep has quickly grown to become a dominant program in the state.

The Prep has amassed over 300 wins, a Group B state championship, a Group IV state championship, and eight Essex county championships (including seven consecutive (2013-2019).
Seton Hall Prep helped to build its foundation with stability from the coaching position. The premier program in Essex county has had six coaches in its 28 year existence.

All of our lacrosse student-athletes participate in the Kairos Retreat Program and we build off of that spiritual experience to foster team culture year in and year out.

Individually, The Pirates program has boasted multiple USLacrosse All-Americans, including recipients Chris O'Dougherty '04, Andrew Blasko '08, Jules Heningburg '14, Colin Kirst '16, Brian Tevlin '17, Griffin Westlin '17. The Pirates have also had over 20 All-State players.

Seton Hall Prep has been ranked in NJ.com's top 10 lacrosse rankings for the past five years. With its foundation and players already in place, the Pirates will look for continued success.
