Wrestling dominates Districts on Historic Day

Senior Rocco Salerno joins Head Coach Lou Mascola '11 as the only wrestler to win 4 county and 4 district titles, as The Pirates advanced a tournament-high 11 wrestlers to next weekend’s Region 6 Tournament behind six individual champions. 

Salerno won his fourth district championship as one of six champions for the Pirates at the NJSIAA/IBEW Local 102 District 21 Tournament on Saturday at Point Pleasant Boro High School. The Pirates won the unofficial team title, 232-188.5 over Point Pleasant Boro, to claim their 25th district team championship. 
 
Salerno is the fifth Seton Hall Prep wrestler in program history with four district titles, joining Head Coach Lou Mascola '11 as the only wrestler to win both four county titles and four district titles.
