SHP Seeks Assistant Swimming Coach
Seton Hall Prep is seeking an Assistant Swimming Coach for the 2024-2025 season to work with Head Coach, Christopher Boyle. - Position Duration: November 25 to March 9
- Working Hours: Primarily 3:30-5:30pm (hours vary with meets)
- Location: NJIT Wellness and Events Center, Newark, NJ
- Assist head coach in planning and conducting daily practices
- Provide individual feedback and technique improvement for swimmers
- Supervise and ensure the safety of swimmers during practices and meets
- Assist in organizing and managing swim meets, including transportation and logistics
- Maintain positive and encouraging relationships with athletes
- Communicate effectively with head coach, athletes, and parents
- Support the academic and personal development of student-athletes
- Previous swimming coaching or competitive swimming experience
- Strong knowledge of swimming techniques and training methods
- Ability to motivate and inspire student-athletes
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- CPR and First Aid certification (preferred)
- Commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive team environment
