The Pirates' Cross Country team improved to 7-0 in Conference play following Tuesday's strong showing!
Full breakdown provided by Head Coach Chris Barnitt '88:

On Tuesday, September 27th, at Branch Brook Park, the Seton Hall Prep Cross Country team continued its strong showing in the conference against Montclair, Newark Academy and Columbia.  In this 3rd week of conference competition, The Prep continued to increase the pressure on its competitors and hone its times on the flat Branch Brook Course.  With one Newark Academy runner and two Montclair runners leading at the mile, the top Pirates, led by senior Connor Schmit and sophomore Andrew Burkitt, came through the mile in the 5:30’s, with their teammates close behind.  On the long two-mile loop, they would methodically reel in their opponents and secure placement for a strong team finish. Scoring for the team were Schmit (17:25- 2nd Place), Burkitt (17:47), senior Ben Brennan (18:02), sophomores Nick Cirelli (18:03) and Ronan Carter (18:05) and were supported by strong performances from senior Max Schreiner (18:58), sophomores Logan Barnett (19:12) and Tommy Basinger (19:32), and seniors Brendan Blaesser (20:23) and Peter Muir (21:28).  The Prep would win over Newark Academy (2-41), Montclair (21-40) and Columbia and would extend their conference record to 7-0.
