Crew competes in City Championship in Philadelphia

Over the weekend, SHP Crew competed in the Scholastic Rowing Association League's City Championship in Philadelphia.
On May 1-2, The SHP Crew team competed in the Philadelphia Scholastic Rowing Association League's City Championship in Philadelphia.

This race featured teams from Pennsylvania and New Jersey, including some of the most storied youth rowing programs in the country. 
 
On Saturday, Freshman events were held; Seton Hall Prep's highlight was placing 3rd in their heat behind Saint Joseph's Prep and Montclair. 
 
Sunday, the Junior and Senior boats competed for trophies and medals in their events.
 
The morning qualifying heats were held in time trial format. In the time trials, the Junior Double placed third, the Junior Quad placed first, and the Junior Four placed second. All boats finishing in the top six advanced to finals in the afternoon. The Senior Double placed 9th in a very competitive field.
 
In the afternoon finals, the Junior Double placed fifth. The highlight for the Pirate rowers was the silver medal finishes for the boys rowing the Junior Four and Junior Quad.
