SHP Advances in ECT

Seton Hall Prep shut out Irvington in the Essex County Tournament first round.  Lucas Mendes tallied a goal and three assists and Eddie Krupski produced a goal and an assist in the first half to lead second-seeded Seton Hall Prep, No. 9 in the NJ.com Top 20, to a 5-0 win over 15th-seeded Irvington in the first round of the Essex County Tournament in West Orange. Seton Hall Prep will next face seventh-seeded Newark Academy in the quarterfinal on Friday. Also scoring in the first half was Whye Li Ong, Roan Sullivan, and Jeremy Munoz for Seton Hall Prep (11-2-1). Benjamin Mills added two assists for Seton Hall while Ray Bonanno had one save and Sidharth Patel did not record a save to give Seton Hall Prep (11-2-1) its eighth clean sheet of the season.
