About

Football at The Prep is the only sport to be offered on three different levels: freshman, JV, and varsity. All programs compete in the fall season, which officially runs from August through as late as early December depending on the State Tournament.

A pillar of the football program since its inception in the 1890’s, hard-work is paramount to the success of the program. In the designated off-season, football players dedicate time to a unified strength and conditioning program, led by industry professionals and alumni who have competed at the highest level.

Football is one of the most iconic Prep sports, and is one of only five programs to have won a heralded Star-Ledger trophy.
