Cross Country Improves to 5-0 in Conference Play

After a strategic and composed first mile, our runners began the slow and methodical work of reeling in the Montclair front-runners.  With 400 meters to go they were still on the chase and were able to disrupt final positions sufficiently to beat all three of their opponents; Montclair (25-32), MKA (18-40) and Livingston (15-50).  The team was led by senior Anthony Bottino (2^nd place, 17:38), sophomore Connor Schmit (4^th- 17:45-PR), senior Danny Collum (5^th- 17:59), senior Ben Ferrara (6^th- 18:04), and senior Bedros Maldjian (11^th- 18:24).  Senior AJ Villaruel (18:34-PR), sophomore Ben Brennan (19:16- PR) and junior Russ Webb (19:31) rounded out the varsity lineup.  The Pirates are 5-0 in conference competition.
