Crew competes in Stotesbury Cup Championship

The Seton Hall Prep Crew team raced in Philadelphia at the Stotesbury Cup Championship, the largest scholastic regatta in the world, on May 14th and May 15th.
On May 14, Crew raced in qualifying heats for Saturday's semifinals and finals. Three boats qualified for the semifinals, with the Junior Quad coming in 6th; the Junior Four coming in 7th; and the Varsity Double taking 11th place.

Just missing the cut were the boys Junior Double, Freshman Eight, and the Freshman Quad.

Saturday morning, the boys who qualified raced in the semifinals. The boys four was the first boat through and qualified by taking 2nd in their semifinal heat. Next came the Junior Quad; they also qualified to the finals by taking 3rd in their heat.

These were the first two Seton Hall Prep boats to make finals at Stotesbury Cup. Unfortunately, the Varsity Double did not qualify through. Seniors Matthew Miller and Harrison Timberlake completed their final race coming 6th in their semifinal.

Saturday afternoon, the boys raced finals. Both boats ended up 6th overall in their grand finals.

Overall, it was a great day for the Seton Hall Prep Crew team as the program is taking steps to becoming a recognized and respected program in the Mid-Atlantic area.
